Introduction

Ingredients

Preparing the Filling
- In a pan, add jaggery and grated coconut. Cook on a medium flame until the jaggery melts completely.

- Take a small portion of dough and press it onto the sides of the mould creating a cavity in the center.
- Fill the cavity with prepared filling.
- Seal it with a small portion of dough.
- Carefully open the mould and remove the Modak.
Making Modak Without Mould
- Take a small portion of dough and flatten it with your fingers to form a disc shape.
- Place some filling in the center of the disc.
- Pinch the edges of the disc to form pleats and bring them together to form a peak.
- Repeat this process until all your Modaks are ready.
